Pangatek Panga boat, also known as Long Boat , Island Boat or Yamaha Boat , is a proven stable, seaworthy, fuel efficient and is easy to use practical fishing, diving and touring boat. They are a heavy duty commercial fiber glass constructed boat with fully enclosed and sealed foam filled buoyancy compartments and a self draining deck which makes them virtually unsinkable. 

- The 'panga' was originally designed and produced by Yamaha late 60s as a small commercial heavy duty fishing boat that could plane fast to the fishing grounds and carry heavy loads safely on their return. They are used extensively worldwide and are well known for their seaworthiness, speed and fuel efficiency. 

-Their efficient design is due to the pad keel or delta pad at 400mm wide at the stern and tapers to a point at the bow and is the reason for the boats ease to plane which results in an economic ride using low Hp to maintain a good cruising speed. 

-The pad in combination with the narrow hull and V-entry flared bow gives the Panga a smooth, quiet and dry ride. 
Because of the delta pad hull design they have a very shallow draft and can easily be launched and retrieved of a beach or even driven at high speed up the beach. 

-Fibreglass has proven to be the best boatbuilding material which gives the best ride. It can be molded in to ergonomically rounded shapes of functional and visually beautiful clean design. 
Fibreglass is clean ,strong, durable and rigid but flexible under impact.
