Working Principle

ATP is a molecule commonly found in all living cells, it is the direct metabolism energy substance for living organism, which has special important meaning for the existence living organism and the life process. The ATP molecules will be quickly disintegrated after the death of organisms.
ATP bioluminescence takes advantages of the catalytic activity of naturally-occurring firefly luciferase, which will oxidize the luciferin to oxyluciferin while consuming the ATP molecules. With extra substrate, the fluorescence produces through this reaction will be linear proportional to the amount of ATP molecules. Thereby the amount of living cells could be quantified by measuring the fluorescence produced through ATP bioluminescence.
ATP Quickswab is a product that base on the ATP bioluminescence principle, which can evaluate the microorganism contamination degree of the test samples.
 

Intended Uses

ATP Quickswab is a ready-to-use, high sensitivity rapid test product for microorganism amount detection, together with Tianlong ATP Hygiene monitoring system, it is intended for monitoring and detecting the cleanliness of certain areas or subject surfaces such as: public or indoor places, catering equipment, desktop surface, operation personnel skin surface, medical and health industry operation table surface, medical speculum surface. It is also the food industry preferred product for performing the HACCP monitoring.

The sensitivity of the ATP Quickswab is 5×10^-15mol ATP and the luminous half-life is greater than 2 minutes.

Storage Conditions

The ATP Quickswab should be sealed and stored in dark places, the storage temperature should between 2ºC to 8ºC. Please do not repeatedly freeze and thaw the Quickswab.
