Faraday Crystals Terbium gallium garnet (TGG) single crystal

Terbium gallium garnet (TGG) single crystal is the best magneto-optical material for production of Faraday rotator and isolator, suitable wavelength of 400-1100nm (not including 470nm-500nm). Faraday rotator is by the TGG crystal bar and a specially designed magnet. The beam through TGG monocrystalline, its direction of polarization will be deflected under the magnetic field, the deflection direction is only associated with the direction of the magnetic field, regardless of the direction of beam propagation. Light isolator consists of a 45 degree deflection optical rotator and a pair of polarizers, it makes the beam through only one direction, while blocking reverse spread beam.

Main advantages: TGG single crystal has a large magneto-optical constant, low optical loss, high thermal conductivity and high laser damage threshold, widely used in YAG, Ti-doped sapphire multi-stage amplification, ring, seeds injection lasers.
