S-ermorelin (S-ermorelin) is a synthetic gr owth hormone releasing hormone with 29 amino acid polypeptide, which is the amino terminal fragment of endogenous gr owth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) and has significant growth regulation effect. Neuropeptides/neurotransmitters, hormones and cytokines are the "common language" of intermodulation among nervous system, endocrine system and immune system. In addition to its own very fine regulatory mechanism, the immune system is also regulated by the neuro-endocrine - immune network.

 

S-ermorelin is a synthetic peptide distinct from GHRH that stimulates the release of g rowth hormone from the pituitary gland. The results showed that s-ermorelin could antagonize the immunosuppression induced by cyclophosphamide in mice. Macrophages play an important role in specific and non-specific cellular immunity and immune regulation in the body's immune system. The weight of thymus and spleen of the immune organs of mice with low immune function was increased significantly by shermeryn, and the phagocytic function of mononuclear phagocytic cells was improved, suggesting that shermeryn could enhance the non-specific immune function of mice. Cyclophosphamide could inhibit the proliferation of T lymphocytes, while chemorelin could significantly counter the toxic effect of CY on T lymphocytes and restore the proliferation of T lymphocytes.
