OLED (organic light emitting diode) is also called organic electroluminescence display (OLED). OLED is a kind of current type organic light-emitting device, which emits light through carrier injection and recombination. The luminous intensity is directly proportional to the injected current. Under the action of the electric field, the holes produced by the anode and the electrons produced by the cathode will move, inject into the hole transport layer and the electron transport layer respectively, and migrate to the light-emitting layer. When the two meet in the light-emitting layer, energy excitons are produced, which excite the light-emitting molecules to generate visible light. Generally speaking, OLED can be divided into two kinds of light-emitting materials: small molecule OLED and polymer OLED (also known as PLED). OLED is a kind of electroluminescent device using multilayer organic thin film structure. It is easy to make, and only needs low driving voltage. These main characteristics make OLED very prominent in meeting the application of flat panel display. OLED display is lighter than LCD, with high brightness, low power consumption, fast response, high definition, good flexibility and high luminous efficiency, which can meet the new demand of consumers for display technology.
