Function and uses:
NADP stands for Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate. It's reduced state is designated as NADPH. Both of them serves as a co-factor in several plant and animal metabolisms. NADPH provides the reducing equivalents in bio-synthetic reactions. They also help protecting the cells from the toxicity of ROS(Reactive Oxygen Species) by regeneration of GSH(Glutathione).
NADPH tetrasodium salt is a cofactor, used to donate electrons and a hydrogens to reactions catalyzed by some enzymes.
