Marine Airbag
Evergreen air bags are widely used for marine engineering projects: Ship launching and hauling out, heavy lifting and transportation, ship salvage, etc. Those applications are found to be cost-effective and convenient.

Airbag ship launching technology overcomes restrictions of traditional ship launching methods and can enhance the building and repairing capacity of shipyards. After years of development this technology has become into a mature and flexible one. Its launching capability reaches 11000 tonnes light weight.

How to select ship launching marine airbags?
Length
Select the airbag's effective length not less than the maximum width of vessel. But when you arrange two rows of airbags keep in mind to calculate the total length of two rows to avoid contact of airbags. The total length of airbags can be estimated to be effective length plus diameter.

Diameter
Diameter of airbag is decided by the height of your vessel's support bloccks. If the support block is 1m high, then you should choose airbag's diameter not less than 1.5m. If you get 1.5m high blocks, the airbag with 2m diameters will suits you well.

Plies
Marine airbag's performance is decided by its component plies. Generally speaking, airbags with 6 plies are enough for most engineering works. Only in some rigorous situation, airbags will need 7-8plies to enhance its performance.
We should confirm the follow information for the general launch calculation.
1. Type of vessel
2. LOA(length) of vessel
3. Width of vessel
4. Vessels actual launched weight(light weight)
5. Whats the vessel's DWT
6. The condition of slipway(slope, tide shedule, water depth, ground and so on)
7. The blocks height under the vessel
8. Distance from the propeller to end of launch ramp
