Its working principle is that when the smoke passes through the flue before the main structure of the dust collector, the smoke is positively charged, and then the smoke enters the channel of the electrostatic precipitator with a multi-layer cathode plate. Because of the mutual adsorption between positive charge dust and cathode plate, the particles of smoke dust adsorb on the cathode and strike the cathode plate regularly, so that the smoke dust with a certain thickness falls into the dust bucket under the structure of the electrostatic precipitator under the double action of gravity and vibration, thus achieving the purpose of removing smoke dust from the smoke. Because of the large power of thermal power plants, such as 600,000 kilowatt units, the amount of coal burning per hour is about 180T, the amount of smoke and dust can be imagined. Therefore, the corresponding ESP structure is also relatively large. The cross-sectional dimension of the main structure of the ESP used in thermal power plants is about 25-40*10-15m. If the height of the ash hopper and the space height of smoke transport are added to the ESP, the height of the whole ESP is above 35 meters. Electrostatic precipitator:
The main structure of the ESP is steel structure, all welded by section steel (as shown in Figure 10 - shown), the outer surface covered with skin (thin steel plate) and insulation materials, for the convenience of design, manufacture and installation. The structure design adopts the layered form, each piece is composed of several girders of frame type, and the girders are connected between the pieces. In order to install the skin and insulation layer, the secondary beams are welded between the main beams. For such a huge structure, how to connect the beams according to the physical object, the workload and the number of elements will be very huge. According to the actual design requirements of the project and the design of the main structure of the electrostatic precipitator, the structural strength, structural stability and the maximum displacement of the main beam suspended cathode plate are mainly investigated. For the local area, the fatigue damage of the connection between the cathode plate and the main beam under long-term periodic impact is mainly investigated; the optimum frequency of dust shedding on the cathode plate is selected; the optimum stiffness of the connection between the structure surface skin (thin plate) and the main beam and the secondary beam under wind load is selected. In addition, the controller of ESP is also an important part of it, commonly used is: ALSTOM EPIC III and so on. The main function of the control dust collector is to regulate the operation of the electric field and control the charge to the dust. Intelligent controllers such as EPIC III of ALSTOM can further improve the efficiency of energy saving and emission reduction.
