Rectangular Lifting Magnets
Large rectangular magnets are used for lifting slabs, billets, castings, forgings, thick single plate or a number of plates at a time. These magnets have a deep magnetic field which allows holding through mill scale and on other irrecgular surfaces. They can be used singly or in multiples on a spreader beam. Rectangular lifting magnets are 230 VDC and have a 50% duty cycle. Lifting capacity includes a 2:1 safety factor on clean, low carbon steel at magnetic saturation.
