Monensin sodium is a broad-spectrum anticoccidial drug. Monensin sodium can adjust the type of rumen microbial fermentation and improve the energy utilization rate of feed; inhibit the activity of rumen microbes to produce lactic acid, thereby preventing acidosis that may occur in the case of high-precision fattening .
 

  

Application

Monensin anticoccidiostat with wide spectrum belongs to ployether antibiotic, and is one of most typical veterinary of anticoccidiostat that is first used and most marketable in the world. Gram-positive and fungus on vegetable are sensitive to it. It can inhibits coccid's growth and finally kill it, especially to eimeria tenella coccidial.

The utility model is mainly used for controlling and preventing coccidiosis in chickens, lambs and calves, and remarkably improves the feed utilization rate of cattle and sheep and increases daily gain during growing and fattening periods.

Monensin can also increase the productivity of feed and increase the weight gain by increasing the yield of propionic acid in the rumen.
