Incoloy925 alloy (UNS N09925) is a precipitation hardenable alloy added with elements such as molybdenum, copper, titanium and aluminum on the basis of iron-nickel-chromium alloy.
The alloy has high strength and excellent corrosion resistance in applications.
The content of nickel is sufficient to protect the alloy from chloride ion corrosion and cracking.
The combination of nickel, molybdenum and copper also makes the alloy excellent resistance to reducing chemical components.
Molybdenum helps improve pitting and crevice corrosion resistance.
The chromium component in the alloy provides oxidation resistance to reducing environments.
The addition of titanium and aluminum can strengthen the alloy during the heat treatment process.
