Madecassoside (MC) is the main active component of triterpenoid saponins from Centella asiatica urb. Studies have shown that MC has a wide range of pharmacological activities in vivo and in vitro, which can reduce collagen induced arthritis, promote the proliferation of human fibroblasts cultured in vitro, treat or prevent hypertrophic scars and keloids, and protect the heart Muscle ischemia-reperfusion injury.
