Product Description
Benzalkonium chloride (Zermin) is widely used as a disinfectant. It can change the permeability of the cytoplasmic membrane of bacteria, make the bacterial substance extravasate, hinder its metabolism and play a killing effect. It has a strong effect on Gram-positive bacteria, but it is not effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and acid-fast bacillus spores. It is suitable for skin disinfection, mucous membrane and wound disinfection before surgery, and surgical instrument disinfection. This product is contraindicated with soap and other cationic surfactants, citrate, iodide, nitrate, permanganate, salicylate, silver salt, tartrate and alkaloids. It is contraindicated with aluminum, sodium fluorescein,kaolin, lanolin and some sulfa drugs.
