Material: Carbon spring steel, Phosphated Black with oil; ANSI420 stainless steel.

These snap rings are widely used for gear box construction and retention of bearings and seals.
Snap ring can prevent bearing ring or needle roller or cage side moving or shaft moving.
SW (M2400) snap ring belongs to WR series snap rings.
