2. Chemical Resistance
PowerGrate pultruded gratings offer superb chemical resistance to variety of acids and caustics. PowerGrate pultruded grating is offered in an array of corrosion resistant resin designed for any environment, from light or moderately corrosive environments to extremely corrosive applications. PowerGrate pultruded grating is offered in either premium Isophthalic polyester, Vinyl ester, or phenolic resins. 

3. Light Weight
PowerGrate pultruded grating weight much less than comparable steel gratings-as much as 50%-75% weight savings can be realized depending on the bearing abr configuration. For weight sensitive structures, such as a tension-leg platform for an offshore deepwater facility, the use of PowerGrate pultruded grating offers significant weight savings, thereby reducing the overall coat of the project.

4. UV Resistance
All PowerGrate pultruded gratings are manufactured with resins containing UV inhibitors. UV resistance is enhanced tith the use of synthetic surfacing veil, creating a "resin rich" surface, and furthur strengthening PowerGrate pultruded grating resistance to UV attack.

5. Impact Resistance
PowerGrate pultruded gratngs offer better impact resistance than conventional steel gratings.

6. Fire Retardancy
All PowerGrate pultruded gratings are designed to exhibit a flame spread rating of 25 or less test in accordance with ASTM E-84 tunnel test, and meet the self-extinguishing requirements of ASRM D-635. A variety of resins are available offering an array of flame spread ratings and smoke densities.

7. Non-Skid
All PowerGrate pultruded gratings are equipped with a durable and permanent gritted surface on the topside of all bearing bars, thus providing superior slip resistance as compare to traditional steel grate walking surfaces.

8. Low maintenance
Install it and forget about it. PowerGrate pultruded grating is easy to clean, its open meshes permitting debris to fall through grating panel and preventing hazardous buildup on walking surface.

9. Safety
NON-CONDUCTIVE property makes PowerGrate pultruded grating ideally suitable in electrically hazardous locations acting as an insulator.
NON-MAGNETIC property allows PowerGrate pultruded grating to be used in sensitive installations where the inherent magnetic properties of metal grating will prove dangerous.

10. Comprehensive economic efficiency
The cost of PowerGrate pultruded grating is about 1.4-1.8 times that of steel grating, installation cost is about 20-40% that of steel grating, and maintenance cost is about zero. But steel gratings must be maintained every year, and the accumulated cost will be a very high sum. Therefore, the cost of PowerGrate grating is a little higher than that of steel grating, but the comprehensive economic efficiency, plus other advantages, is much higher than that of steel grating.
