Estradiol valerate

It works by replacing natural estrogens in a woman who can no longer produce enough estrogen. It works for advanced prostate cancer by antagonizing male . 

Estradiol Valerate is the parenterally-administered synthetic valerate ester of estradiol, the maintenance of fertility and secondary sexual characteristics in females. As the primary, most potent estrogen hormone produced by the ovaries, estradiol binds to and activates specific nuclear receptors. This agent exhibits mild anabolic and metabolic properties, and increases blood coagulability. Estradiol Valerate is used by women to help reduce symptoms of menopause (such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness).

These symptoms are caused by the body making less estrogen. This medication may also be used by women who are not able to produce enough estrogen (for example, due to hypogonadism, primary ovarian failure) and by men to treat prostate cancer.

Usage

1.Estradiol valerate is the valerate of natural estradiol, which has the pharmacological effect of estrogen, can promote and regulate the normal development of female genital canal and side sexual characteristics, and participate in the regulation of the function of the ovarian axis.

2.For amenorrhea, menopausal syndrome, reduce milk secretion, prostate cancer, etc.

It is mainly used for advanced breast cancer and colorectal cancer, and can be used as a rescue treatment for breast cancer after failure of anthracycline and taxane treatment.
 
The recommended dose of capecitabine is 1250mg/m, 2 times a day orally (1 in the morning and evening; equal to the total daily dose of 2500mg/m). After 2 weeks of treatment, the drug is stopped for 1 week, and 3 weeks is a course of treatment.
