Application
Kitasamycin is a multi-component macrolide antibiotic produced by Streptomyces. Its free base is for oral use; tartrate is for injection. Its salt is white or light yellow crystalline powder, odorless, bitter, slightly hygroscopic; soluble in water, methanol or ethanol; few insoluble in ether, chloroform.
