The integral silicone balloon has special circular ribs which maintain shape during and after inflation with sterile water. The drainage funnel incorporates a groove which reduces torsion and movement of the catheter when in situ. The all Silicone junction includes the main drainage funnel, the balloon inflation line with non-return valve and the lead wire from the sensor. This wire is completely encased within a Silicone sleeve to eliminate penetration of bacteria and fluid into the sensor lumen.
