SAE1045/S45C/1.1191 Hot Work Carbon Steel Bar
1045 steel is a medium carbon, medium tensile steel supplied as hot rolled, forged or normalized. Changfeng steel supply 1045 steel round bar, plate, steel rods, steel bars, flat bar, square, sheet.
1. Heat treament of SAE AISI 1045 steel
1)Forging: at 850°C - 1250°C, Hold until the temperature is uniform, Then Cool in furnace
2)Annealing:Heat to 800°C - 850°C , Slowly, Then Hold the temperature until uniform; Cool in heat treatment furnace.
3)Normalizing:Heat to 870°C - 920°C, Soak evenly, about Soak for 10 - 15 minutes, then Cool in air
4)Stress Relieving:Heat to 550°C - 660°C, Hold the temperature, Soak enough time, until thoroughly heat, then Cool in still air
5)Hardening:Heat to 820°C - 850°C, Soak for 10 - 15 minutes per 25mm of section, Quench in water or brine
6)Tempering:Re-heat to 400°C - 650°C as needs, Soak about 1 hours per 25mm of section, Cool in air.

Use for making injection plastic mould,mould frame and some middle-range machine.

3)Stamping die drawing parts repair and hardfacing;

1)Both end of each bar must be cut
2)Ladle furnanced and vacuum de-gassed
3)Show heat No. on each bar
4)Surface condition the surface of the hot rolled square bar shall befree cracks, scar and wrinkles that affect the use of the billets. In case there is the above-mentioned defect, it shall be remove.
5)The mill test certificate shall show the chemical composition, and it is guaranteed that the chemical composition shall be within the limit stipulated in the contract.
