1. Herpes simplex virus infection: oral administration in cases of initial and recurrent genital herpes virus infection;Oral administration is used as a prophylaxis in recurrent cases.Injections are given to people with immunodeficiency.The treatment of primary and recurrent mucosal skin infections and the prevention of recurrent cases;It is also used for the treatment of herpes simplex encephalitis.

2. Herpes zoster: it is used orally for the treatment of mild cases of herpes with normal immune function and immunodeficiency.Injections are used for the treatment of immunocompromised patients with severe herpes.

3. Treatment of chickenpox in immunocompromised patients.

4. Topically used for the initial treatment and recurrence of herpes simplex in patients with early reproductive herpes infection caused by herpes simplex virus and immunodeficiency.

5. Treatment of acute retinal necrosis with sodium.Nucleotide antivirals,

                      Acyclovir is a synthetic purine nucleoside analogue.It is mainly used for various infections caused by herpes simplex virus, and can be used for initial or recurrent skin, mucous membrane, genital infection and HSV infection in immunodeficiency patients.As the preferred drug for the treatment of HSV encephalitis, it is superior to arabidine in reducing morbidity and mortality.It can also be used for herpes zoster, Epstein-Barr virus, and chickenpox infection in immunodeficiency patients.Topically applied only to the skin, acyclovir has less skin absorption.
