Function start: Hot start PCR
Traits: liquid. Designed to enhance the specificity, sensitivity and yield of DNA amplification. The enzyme can be used to prepare the reaction system at room temperature, which is convenient to use. It is a chemically modified recombinant Taq DNA Polymerase, which adds a thermally unstable blocking group to the amino acid residues of protein molecules. The enzyme is inactive at room temperature, avoiding the formation of primer dimers and non-specific extensions, thereby increasing the specificity of DNA amplification. Heating at 95°C for 4 minutes can restore activity. The activated enzyme has the same function as Taq DNA Polymerase: it catalyzes the synthesis of DNA in the 5-3 direction, without detectable 3-5 correction exonuclease activity, and has lower 5-3 exonuclease activity. The enzyme also has deoxyribonuclease transfer activity, adding 11 more adenines to the 3-terminal of the PCR product, and these activities were not detected before activation.
