1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Fosetyl-aluminium is a systemic fungicide for the prevention and control of phytophthora rots in apples, avocados, ornamentals, peaches and pineapples and pythium root rots in turf.
2. APPLICATION METHODS AND TIPS:
Best results in fine weather.
Ensure thorough coverage.
Soil drench applications may be required where there is little foliage.
3. WATER OR CARRIER DATA:
Typically 1000-3000 L/ha for high volume sprayers and spraying to runoff.
Low volume sprays may use 100-1000 L/ha.
4. PLANT HEALTH and OTHER EFFECTS:
Good tolerance with no damage on many ornamentals.
Mixtures of fosetyl with foliar fertilisers may cause fruit russetting on some species
5. WITHHOLDING PERIODS:
Apples: DO NOT HARVEST FOR 14 DAYS AFTER APPLICATION.
Avocados: DO NOT HARVEST FOR 1 DAY AFTER APPLICATION.
Peaches: NOT REQUIRED WHEN USED AS DIRECTED
Pineapples: DO NOT HARVEST FOR 7 DAYS AFTER APPLICATION.
Apples: DO NOT HARVEST FOR 14 DAYS AFTER APPLICATION.
Avocados: DO NOT HARVEST FOR 1 DAY AFTER APPLICATION.
Peaches: NOT REQUIRED WHEN USED AS DIRECTED

6. PESTICIDE RESISTANCE:
Some species may be resistant or develop resistance with continued application. Rotate with products from alternative groups.

8. FIRST AID:
If SWALLOWED - Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Keep patient warm and at rest. Call a doctor or poison control center immediately.
If in EYES - Irrigate for 15 minutes with plenty of water.
If on SKIN - Rinse with plenty of water, remove contaminated clothing, wash with soap and water.
If INHALED - Remove patient to fresh air.
If patient has symptoms or is concerned contact a doctor immediately.
Advice to doctor - Treat symptomatically. The product causes irritation of eyes, skin and mucous membranes.
Gastric lavage is not normally required. However, if a significant amount (more than a mouthful) has been ingested, administer activated charcoal and sodium sulphate.
