Mosi2 heating element is a type of resistance heating element composed of high purity molybdenum disilicide. When heated to a high temperature in an oxidizing atmosphere, a layer of compact quartz glass forms on the surface of the element which withstands oxidation. In an oxidizing atmosphere, its maximum temperature can reach 1800ºC, and its applicable temperature is 500-1700ºC. It can be widely used as a heating element in high-temperature furnaces for a variety of industries including ceramics, magnets, glass, metallurgy, refractory, and many others. We named our Mosi2 heating elements Synthe super.

Because of the special technology, welding spot is fast and shock-resistant, which dramatically reduced the damaged probability of welding spot by electric current, as well as transit and installation.

Chemical Properties
MoSi2 Heating Element has the ability to withstand oxidation at high temperatures. This is due to the formation of a thin and adhesive protective layer of quartz glass (SiO2) on the surface. When the element temperature is over 1700ºC, the SiO2 protective layer which melting point is 1710ºC was fused, and because of the surface tension, it fused into drops, which is useless. However, when elements continue working in oxidizing atmospheres, the SiO2 protective layer is spontaneously rebuilt.
Notice: It is no good to use Molybdenum Disilicide Heating Element for Long-term within a range of 400-700ºC, otherwise the element will be powdered by the strong low-temperature oxidation.
