Zinc iodide Applications

Use for medical use as a local anti-corrosion disinfectant, astringent, can be used for the analysis of nitrite, free chlorine and other oxidants
Use white or near white fine particles or powder. Easy deliquescence. Exposed to the air or see the light out of iodine and brown, soluble in ethanol and ether, slightly soluble in glycerol. Aqueous solution PH ~ 5, mp 446 ºC.
Use for iodine starch reagents to determine nitrite. Used as reagents for the analysis of free chlorine and other gasifiers
