Sofosbuvir is the world's first oral drug used to treat hepatitis c, one of the most important new drugs approved in the United States in 2013, developed by the American firm gilad science. When it comes to genotype specific hepatitis c, it eliminates the need for traditional injectable drug interferon (IFN).
Sofosbuvir is used to treat chronic hepatitis c virus (HCV) infection. It is the first safe and effective drug to treat HCV infection without IFN. There are several different types of HCV infections. Depending on the type of infection, treatment options can include sofosbuvir and ribavirin, or sofosbuvir, ribavirin and polyethylene glycol interferon alpha.
This product is used for the treatment of genotype 2 and genotype 3 chronic hepatitis C (hepatitis C) adult patients. It can improve the liver function, promote the regeneration of injured liver cells, improve the function of tissue cell respiration and oxygen respiration rate, and reduce the accumulation of fat in the liver.
