Multimedia Sand Filters
Following multi-layer filtration, Multimedia Sand Filters are most recommended systems to remove suspended particles, color, odor and iron from ground water and wastewater. Multimedia filtration works on pressurized filtration process, where three layers of filter media are used for fine particle removal approximately 5 to 25 microns. As compared to conventional sand filters, multimedia filters offer superior filtration quality, longer filtration cycles and lower water consumption during backwash; hence, these filters offer a flexible and feature-rich way to reduce the amount of suspended solids and turbidity in feed water. These multimedia filters are mostly used as pretreatment to reverse osmosis, DM and softener.

 How it works( Shallow medium filter):

Flushing filter state:
      When the system is filtered state, the unfiltered water through self-developed unique water distributor uniform water distribution, water through the filter to laminar flow conditions within the filler layer (refined grains are quartz sand / garnet). When water flows over the packing layer, impurities are trapped in the filler layer. Backwashing state: 
     With the impurities accumulate in the filler layer continuously, the internal pressure head losses will continue to grow. 3. Pre-installed manual valve on inlet and outlet pipe, to ensure that the sewage smooth;
4. Equipment installation at 200mm high cement platform without the basis of embedded, need 220V50Hz power outlet (power controller) nearby.
