Tripotassium phosphate, also known as potassium phosphate, is white granular powder, easy to absorb moisture, with relative density of 2.564 (17ºC) and melting point of 1340ºC. Soluble in water, alkaline reaction. Insoluble in ethanol. Used as water softener, fertilizer, liquid soap, food additive, etc. It can be prepared by adding  to dipotassium hydrogen phosphate solution.
