N-Isopropylbenzylamine can be used as an intermediate for compound synthesis and as a precursor for the production of certain drugs. Due to its similarity in appearance and physical properties, it has been included in DEA's consideration in recent years. N-Isopropylbenzylamine and magnesium form an amine at room temperature. Using N-Isopropylbenzylamine as ligand, bis(cyclopentadienyl)magnesium was prepared and characterized. It is also used in the synthesis of N-Isopropylbenzylamine.
