Isopropanol is an organic compound, an isomer of propanol, alias dimethyl methanol, 2-propanol, also known as IPA in the industry.
It is a clear, colorless liquid with an odor like a mixture of ethanol and acetone.Soluble in water, but also soluble in alcohol,
ether, benzene, chloroform and other organic solvents. 

It is a good solvent and chemical raw material. It is used in coatings, medicine, pesticides, cosmetics and other industries. Raw materials of Tianjin), diisopropyl ether, isopropyl acetate and thymol.

Applications

1. Isopropanol is an important chemical product and raw material. It is mainly used as dehydrating agent and cleaning agent in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, plastic, perfume, coating and electronics industries. Reagents for the determination of barium, calcium, magnesium, nickel, potassium, sodium and strontium. Reference material for chromatographic analysis.

2. In the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry, isopropanol is used in the manufacture of lotion, hand and body lotions, preservatives, and pharmaceutical reddening agents. It is also used in paints, thinners, paints, detergents and polishes, as well as for surface sterilization, hospital disinfection, food processing and so on.
