    INDICATION:

    CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
    Chloramphenicol is contra-indicated in the following conditions:
    patients with a history of hypersensitivity or toxic reactions.
    for minor infections or for prophy laxis.
    aplastic anaemis.
    during active immunisation.

    DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
    Adults: -500mg every 6 hours or 50mglkg body mass daily in divided doses every 6 hours.
    The dose of chloramphenicol should be reduced in the presence of hepatic dasease or in patients with renal insufficiency.
    Children:-25 to 50mg/kg body mass daily,given in divided doses at intervals of 6hours.

    STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
    Store below 25°C and protect from light.
    KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
