Thiamine hydrochloride (VitaminB1, VB1), also known as thiamine, is the first water-soluble vitamin to be purified by people. Its chemical name is 3-[(4-amino-2-methyl-5-pyrimidinyl)-methyl chloride. ]-5-(2-hydroxyethyl)-4-methylthiazolium hydrochloride has the function of maintaining normal glucose metabolism. It is often used clinically to prevent and treat beriberi caused by the lack of VB1. It is also used for neuritis, Adjuvant treatment of dyspepsia and other diseases.
