Oxfendazole, the sulfoxide form of fenbendazole, is a broad spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintic used against roundworms, strongyles and pinworms for sheep, cattle, goats, and swine. It is a white to grey powder; insoluble in water, slightly soluble in acetone, chloroform, Ether and methanol. Its chemical designation is [5-(phenylsulfinyl)-1H- benzimidazol-2-yl] carbamic acid methyl ester.
Anthelmintic (also spelled anthelminthic) is a chemical substance used to expel or destroy tapeworms in domestic animals .

(1) Oxfendazole is highly effective against Osteria bovis, Haemonchus nematodes, Trichostrongylus, Cooper nematodes, Nematodes, esophagus nematodes, adults and larvae of Dictychus nematodes, and Monizia bechii .

(2) The treatment dose can drive away all the adult worms of Osster nematode, Trichostrongylus, Nematodes, and the larvae of Nematodes, O. nematodes, Haemonchus, Chabert nematodes, and Dictychus; Cypress nematodes, esophageal mouth nematodes, Haemonchus nematodes, Chabert nematodes, adult Trichosanthes, and Moniz tapeworms also have good repellent effects. Oxfendazole is less effective against Strongyloides papilloma.

(3) It has an excellent repellent effect on Ascaris suum, Etophagous mouth nematodes, adult and larvae of Red strongyloidia. But it has limited effect on Trichinella spiralis.

(4) Oxfendazole is also a broad-spectrum anthelmintic for horses, and it is effective against almost all nematodes in the gastrointestinal tract. For example, it is highly effective against horse roundworm, horse para roundworm, horse orbicular nematode, tridentate nematode, trichostrongylus escherichia, acrocerus, small round nematode adults; for horse roundworm, small round nematode, horse common The immature body of the round nematode also has a good effect. However, it is not effective against Nematodes of the genus Tylenchus and Draschia major.
