This product may be used as an analytical reagent and as an indicator in the determination
of halogens.

Note:

Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. The temperature should not exceed 37°C.
Should be stored separately with oxidizer, edible chemical, avoid mix storage by all
means. Be sure to keep container sealed.

Use

Used as an analytical reagent and as an indicator in the determination of halogens.

Ammonium ferric sulfate indicator method should be carried out in dilute nitric acid solution,
because iron ions can form ferric hydroxide precipitation in neutral or alkaline medium.

In order to prevent precipitation conversion (AgCl+SCN-→←AgSCN+Cl-), after ammonium ferric sulfate indicator method is prepitated with silver nitrate titrant, it should be added 5ml dibutyl phthalate
or 1 ~ 3ml nitrobenzene.

And the indicator liquid should be added after strong shaking,  then titrated with ammonium thiocyanate titration tiidine. Titration should be carried out at room temperature. At high temperature, red complex
fades easily.

Titration should be shaken vigorously to avoid the adsorption of silver ions by prepitation, reaching
the end point too early. However, when the titration is close to the end point, it should be shaken
slightly to reduce the contact between silver chloride and SCN- to avoid precipitation and transformation. [1]
