What is Phentolamine Mesylate?

This product is an α-receptor blocker. By blocking the α-receptor and indirectly activating the β-receptor, the peripheral
blood vessels can be rapidly dilated, the peripheral vascular resistance can be significantly reduced, the peripheral blood
volume can be increased, and the microcirculation can be improved. This product has an exciting effect on the heart,
resulting in increased myocardial contractility, accelerated heart rate and increased cardiac output. It is mainly used in the
diagnosis of acute heart failure, vasospasm, hand and foot cyanosis, perceptual toxic shock and pheochromocytoma in
the treatment of pulmonary hyperemia or pulmonary edema. It is also used for ventricular extrasystole.
