Troxerutin, chemical name 7,3,4-tris (O-(2- hydroxyhexyl)) rutin, is a mixture of hydroxyethylrutin obtained by hydroxyethylation of rutin, which is yellow, yellow-green or light brownish yellow powder, odorless, slightly salty and hygroscopic, and its main hydrolysis product is hyperin. Troxerutin is a semisynthetic flavone compound, which is prepared by hydroxyethylation of rutin. It can inhibit the agglutination of red blood cells and platelets, at the same time increase the blood oxygen content, improve microcirculation and promote the formation of new blood vessels. It is a good drug for treating occlusive cerebrovascular diseases to protect endothelial cells and treat acute ischemic brain injury.
