Scheffel bogie is a three-piece structure of casting steel through bringing in Scheffel bogie technology fro South Africa. Multilayer rubber-metal sheer pads are adopted for the primary suspension while center bolster speing suspension system with variable friction snubbing device is used for the secondary suspension. The bolster spring is of Grade-2 rigidity. Sub frame is connected with cross anchor between two wheelsets to be as the self-guided structure. Such bogie with good curvature property and small rim wer, has been applied widely in the world.
