Salmonella Pullorum and Salmonella Typhi Sera Plate    
Agglutination Test Polyvalent Antigen Instruction

Compsition: Salmonella Pullorum and Salmonella Typhi Sera Plate Agglutination Test Polyvalent Antigen
Indications: This antigen system is made with standard and variant pullorum and Salmonella typhi, cultivated on a suitable medium, harvested, inactivated, treated with ethanol,  and made by adding crystal violet and glycerin.

Appearance: Purple suspension. After standing still, the cells sink and become a uniform suspension after shaking.

Targets:

Diagnosis of pullorum and typhoid fever in laying hens and chickens over 3 months old.
Use method:
Take 1 drop (approximately 0.05ml) of antigen, drop it vertically on the glass plate, and then take an equal amount of chicken blood (the needle pierces the brachial vein or crown tip of the chicken) or serum, mix it with the antigen, and spread it to a diameter of approximately 2cm round liquid level, set up strong positive, weak positive, and negative serum reference at the same time, and test the result within 2 minutes.
Results:


Strong positive serum    Weak positive serum     Negative serum
When the strong positive serum appears 100% agglutination (++++), the weak positive serum appears 50% agglutination (++), and the negative serum does not agglutinate (-), the test is established.
The blood (serum) to be tested has agglutination of more than 50%, which is positive; The blood (serum) to be tested does not agglutinate, which is negative;
Anything between the above two is judged to be suspicious.

Caution:

  1. The test should be carried out in an environment above 20°C.
  2. The antigen should be shaken well before use.
  3. Avoid prolonged exposure of the antigen to the air (more than 1 hour).
  4. The dropper for drawing blood or serum should not have direct or indirect contact with the antigen in the bottle.
