      Tetrahexyldecanol ascorbate, a derivative of L-ascorbic acid (A786990), is found as a skin moisturizing ingredient in topical medicines and cosmetics. Its addition to cosmetics is attributed to its greater stability compared to the parent form. As a cosmetic ingredient, tetrahexyldecanol ascorbate has many functions, including brightening skin, promoting collagen synthesis and inhibiting lipid peroxidation. As a derivative of vitamin C, tetrahexyldecanol ascorbate is stable at high temperature and has good solubility in oil. Tetrahexyldecanol ascorbate has excellent skin absorbability and can be decompose into free vitamin C in the skin to achieve physiological function. Tetrahexyldecanol ascorbate is approved as a pharmacoactivity (at 3%) in Japan and is also registered as an active skin-whitening ingredient (at 2%) in Korea. AT2H is an oil-soluble vitamin C derivative with antioxidant, inhibiting melanin and whitening effects. Its high stability, not easy to be oxidized. The effect is similar to VC, easily absorbed by the skin, the absorption rate is 16.5 times that of water-soluble vitamin C. Recommended addition amount: 0.05%-1%.
