BACTERIOSTATIC WATER

COMPOSITION:

Each 2ml ampoule contains 18mg benzyl alcohol.

PHARMACOLOGICALACTION:

The Bacteriostatic Water can be used in diluting drugs that can subsequently be administered by intravenous injection.

USAGE AND DOSAGE:

Take suitable this product, enough to dissolve the medicine.

SIDE EFFECT:

If Bacteriostatic Water is injected intravenously without any diluted compound, it may cause some red blood cell lysisbecause it is not isotonic. Bacteriostatic Water usually does not interact with other drugs; however, some drugs for injection may be incompatible. Tell your doctor all medications and supplements you use. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before receiving Bacteriostatic Water. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.

It has action of hemolysis, and may form sclerosis which is uneasily absorbed.

PRECAUTIONS:

It can not be used for solvent of benzylpenicillin. Due to the potential toxicity of benzyl alcohol in neonates, solutions containing benzyl alcohol must not be used in this patient population.

Parenteral preparations with benzyl alcohol should not be used for fluid replacement. Parenteral preparations containing benzyl alcohol should not be used in epidural or spinal anesthesia procedures.

INTERATION WITH OTHER DRUGS:

Can't use with Chloramphenicol.

STORAGE:

Store in tight container, protected from light.
