Product Introduction

When making slices for bone tissues or some calcium-containing tissues in pathological experiments, slices cannot be made directly because of the high hardness. It is necessary to remove the calcium and make the tissues soft before they can be made into slices. Commonly used decalcification reagents include EDTA, organic acid, inorganic acid, etc. Among them, EDTA is a mild chelating decapping machine, which has the least influence on the tissue structure, and can better preserve certain enzymes of the tissue. Decalcification by EDTA The latter tissue can be tested by immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, etc. This method has a slow decalcification speed and a long decalcification cycle, which usually takes several weeks to several months, which is related to the size of the decalcified tissue. Organic acids use acid to dissolve calcium, decalcify relatively fast, and damage the tissue structure to a certain extent. Inorganic acid decalcification mostly uses hydrochlori acid or ndtric acid for decalcification. The decalcification rate is the fastest but the tissue damage is the greatest.

The new type of decalcification solution (quick decalcification) of this product is an acidic decalcification solution, the main active ingredient is formic acid.

Storage and transportation

Storage and transportation at room temperature; valid for 12 months.

Instructions for use

Put the tissue to be decalcified into the decalcification solution, the volume of the decalcification solution should be 15-20 times the volume of the tissue. During decalcification, replace the decalcification solution every two days and check the degree of decalcification every day until the tissue becomes soft and the pin can be smoothly pierced into the tissue. When the hand touches the bone tissue, it is elastic and can be easily bent. The decalcification time for small tissues is about two days, and the decalcification time for larger tissues is about a week, and the time for different tissues is variable. During decalcification, observe the tissue condition closely to avoid excessive damage to the tissue by decalcification and affect subsequent experiments.

Precautions

1. This product is acidic and has certain volatility. Please use it in a well-ventilated place, and protect it from inhalation.

2. During decalcification, pay close attention to tissue decalcification to avoid excessive decalcification affecting subsequent experiments.

3. This product may destroy the proteins in the tissues. If antigen immunoassay is required in the future, it is recommended to use EDTA for decalcification.

4. Please wear lab coat and disposable gloves during operation.
