Diosmin is a flavone, a member of the flavonoid family. Diosmin aglycone is diosmetin. It can be found in Teucrium gnaphalodes, a plant endemic to the Iberian Peninsula.

Hesperidin is a natural component extracted from citrus. It belongs to vitamin P. It maintains the normal permeability of blood vessels, reduces the fragility and permeability of capillaries, and incases capillary resistance (enhancing vitamin C ). It protects capillaries, prevents microvascular rupture, inhibits blood cholesterol and prevents arteriosclerosis, and is a drug for the treatment of hypertension and myocardial infarction.

Diosmin:Hesperidin with vitamin P like effect, it can reduce the vascular fragility and abnormal permeability, and also for the prevention and treatment of hypertension and arteriosclerosis, for the treatment of capillary fragility. It also has the characteristics of low toxicity. It also applied in the treatment of hemorrhoids, chronic venous insufficiency.
