Quinine dihydrochloride injection 
Ingredients
This product is a sterile aqueous solution of quinine dihydrochloride.
Molecular Formula: C20H24N2O2·2HCl
Molecular weight: 397.34
Indications
For the treatment of cerebral malaria and other severe falciparum malaria.
Dosage
1. Adult dosage According to the body weight of 5 ~ 10mg/kg (the highest amount of 500mg), adding intravenous injection of sodium chloride injection 500ml, 4 hours after the drip, 12 hours after repeated 1 times, the condition improved and then changed oral.
2. Pediatric Dosage The dose is the same as adults, and the body weight is 5 to 10 mg/kg (the highest amount is 500 mg).
Adverse reactions
1. The daily dosage of this product is more than 1g or it is used for a long time. It often leads to cinchona reaction. This reaction is similar to salicylic acid. It has symptoms such as tinnitus, headache, nausea, vomiting, visual hearing loss, etc. Severe person has temporary deafness and stops. After medicine can often be restored;
2. When the dose is more than 4g within 24 hours, it can directly damage the nerve tissue and contract the retinal blood vessels, and the visual field is reduced, diplopia, amblyopia and so on;
3. In the case of large-dose poisoning, in addition to the above-mentioned increase in the reaction, it can also inhibit the myocardium, expand peripheral blood vessels and cause sudden drop in blood pressure, slow and shallow breathing, fever, irritable dryness, sputum, etc., and more death from respiratory paralysis;
4. A small number of patients are highly sensitive to quinine, and small amounts can cause serious cinchona reactions;
5. A small number of patients with falciparum malaria can use a small amount of quinine to cause acute hemolysis (black urine fever) to death;
6. Quinine can also cause skin rash, itching, asthma, etc.;
7. Intravenous infusion should be closely observed blood pressure changes.
Contraindication

Precautions
1. For patients with asthma, atrial fibrillation and other severe heart conditions, patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency and menstrual periods should be used with caution.
2. Interference with Diagnosis Quinine interferes with the determination of 17-hydroxysteroids.
