Introduction:

Applications: Silane coupling agent KH-560 is the earliest widely used coupling agent, and has a history of more than 40 years. One end of its structure has active groups that can react with epoxy, phenolic, polyester, and other synthetic resin molecules, such as amino groups, vinyl groups, and so on. The other end is an alkoxy group (such as a methoxy group, an ethoxy group, etc.) or a chlorine atom connected to silicon. These groups can be hydrolyzed into glass, minerals, inorganic fillers in the presence of water in an aqueous solution or air. The hydroxyl groups on the surface react to produce reactive silanol. Therefore, silane coupling agents are commonly used in silicate-filled epoxy, phenolic, and polyester resin systems. In addition, it can also be used in the production of FRP to improve its mechanical strength and resistance to humid environments.
