Light heat insulation castable is composed of, high strength material as aggregate, and ultrafine powder, composite additives.It has the advantages of high refractoriness, high strength and low thermal conductivity. The lightweight refractory castable has the characteristics of small volume density and low thermal conductivity, so as to reduce the heat energy consumption of industrial furnaces and reduce the weight of furnace lining.
There are many kinds of lightweight refractory aggregate. Which kind of lightweight refractory aggregate is selected to make lightweight castable mainly depends on the service temperature of castable.Generally in the temperature of 800 to 1000ºC below the use of expanded vermiculite, expanded perlite or diatomite;In the temperature range of 1100-1400ºC, the use of lightweight clay aggregate, lightweight high aluminum aggregate;For use at higher temperatures, use oxide hollow ball advanced heat insulation aggregate.
