Bacterial resistance is mainly due to the β - lactamases produced by bacteria, which destroy antibiotics before they act on pathogens. Clavulanic acid in this product can block the action of β - lactamase, so as to prevent the emergence of bacterial resistance, and make the bacteria more sensitive to amoxicillin and be quickly killed.   Because some strains of this genus can produce β - lactamase, they are not sensitive to amoxicillin alone.
  This product contains amoxicillin and clavulanic acid, so it is effective to treat the infection caused by amoxicillin sensitive bacteria; the infection caused by amoxicillin sensitive bacteria and β - lactamase producing bacteria is also effective.
