Nervonic acid is a fatty acid. It is a monounsaturated analog of lignoceric acid.
It is also known as selacholeic acid and cis-15-tetracosenoic acid.
It exists in nature as an elongation product of oleic acid,
its immediate precursor being erucic acid. 

Nervonic Acid known as leucolic acid, was originally isolated from shark cerebrosides.
Nervonic acid is a monounsaturated omega-9 fatty acid. Nervonic acid is beneficial to
memory-related brain health, anti-aging, regulating blood lipids, and anti-fatigue.
