Molybdate has low toxicity and low environmental pollution. It is a new type of water treatment agent that is currently used more frequently. In order to obtain a better sustained-release effect, molybdate is often used in combination with polyphosphate, gluconate, zinc salt, and benzotriazole, which can not only reduce the amount of molybdate used, but also improve corrosion inhibition. Effective in Chemicalbook, the dosage of molybdate decreases from 200~500mg/L to 4~6mg/L after compounding. In the process of forming the molybdate film, there must be dissolved oxygen, without calcium ions (or other divalent metal ions). Molybdate has high thermal stability and can be used in circulating water systems with high heat flux and local overheating.
