3.APPLICATION
Resorcinol is mainly used in rubber binder, synthetic resin, dyes, preservatives, pharmaceutical and analytical reagents. Resorcinol, similar to phenol and cresol, forms a condensation polymer with formaldehyde. It can be used to make tire cord binder for viscose filament and nylon, and to prepare wood binder for vinyl materials and metals.
