From the blood of pigs and cows.Pig blood is prepared by spray drying with about 18kg of blood powder per 100kg of pig blood.
L-histidine is commonly used in its hydrochloride ([7048-02-4]).The eluent containing l-histidine was concentrated until it
crystallized. When hot, was used to adjust the pH to 2.5. Ethanol twice the amount of solution was immediately
added, and the crude l-histidine hydrochloride was obtained by standing, precipitation and filtration.L-histidine can also be
extracted from the hydrolysates of defatted soybean.
