Application
Sodium tripolyphosphate has chelation, suspension, dispersion, gel dissolution, emulsification, pH buffering and other functions, can be used as the main synthetic detergent, industrial water softener, leather pre-tanning agent, dyeing agent, organic synthesis catalyst, pharmaceutical industry dispersant and food additives.
The consumption of STPP is mainly concentrated in detergent industry, food, ceramics and so on.
In water treatment, mainly used as water softener, sodium tripolyphosphate, ion exchanger with the calcium, magnesium and iron ions generated in the water soluble complex Na3MP3O10 (M for metal ions), hard block calcium, magnesium salt effect, prevent the formation of calcium, magnesium, scaling back, in addition, because of its also has surface active function and strong cushion (pH4 ~ 14 best) within the scope of the buffering effect, also can be used as a corrosion inhibitor
